It’s another lengthy week in TV, courtesy of a handful of midseason premieres and pilots adding more to our already full plate. First up, Noel and Kate look at the week in comedy, including the pilots of You, Me and the Apocalypse and Baskets, premiere of Childrens Hospital, and midseason premieres of Crazy Ex-Girlfriend and Jane the Virgin. Next up are the genre offerings, including the pilot of Beowulf and return of The X-Files, and we round out the week with the dramas, including a preview of FX’s much-anticipated The People v. O.J. Simpson: American Crime Story. Afterward, we head back to the DVD Shelf, as Cory Barker of TV.com and Totally Tubular helps us break out the pastels and dive in with the quintessentially ‘80s police procedural, Miami Vice.
Note: This episode has been tagged explicit due to some basic cable swearing, particularly during our discussion of Adventure Time.
