The tents are stowed, the con funk washed away, and the sunburns starting to heal; 2019 Comic-Con International: San Diego has come and gone. Noel and Kate welcome back friend of the show Maggie Kulzick to break down another sunny and TV-filled Comic-Con, looking at Maggie and Kate’s 2019 high- and low-lights. Before that, though, Noel and Kate talk through another full week in TV. We kick things off with the comedies, including grown-ish and Drunk History, Kate rounds up some drama, including the Big Little Lies finale, Claws, and Pose, and we round out the week with a little genre and reality, Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD and Queer Eye season 4. Take a listen, then reach out with your thoughts on the week’s TV, your Comic-Con experiences, and more.

Kate is on location at 2019 Comic-Con International: San Diego, which means lots of TV news, hot takes, and helicopters. Our SDCC wrap-up will be up next week, but for now, there’s plenty of TV to keep us busy while we wait for Comic-Con trailers and other goodies to drop. First up, Noel gives his thoughts on O Maidens in Your Savage Season and grown-ish, then Noel and Kate talk SHIELD, Kate catches up with Pose, and they round out the week with Claws. Afterward, we head to the spotlight section and dive in with season three of Netflix’s Stranger Things. Are you down with the Scoops Troop, or did you regret your return to Hawkins? Take a listen, then reach out with your thoughts.

Time to dust off the cosplay and bust out the color-coordinated schedules (just Kate?); 2019 Comic-Con International: San Diego is right around the corner. Kate is heading to nerdvana once again this year, so it’s time for our annual preview of SDCC 2019. Noel and Kate welcome back Kate’s sister, Maggie Kulzick, and the three go through the nearly 150 TV panels scheduled this year, highlighting their most anticipated, and which they’ll be giving a wide berth. Before that, though, Noel and Kate read out some listener feedback and talk through the week’s TV: The Detour, grown-ish, Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD, Holey Moley, Claws, and Elementary. What are you looking forward to at Comic-Con this year, and which shows do you wish were making the trek to San Diego? Take a listen, then reach out with your picks.
