It’s another week of premieres and even a finale here at the podcast, giving us plenty to discuss. First Noel and Kate look at the premiere of Larry Wilmore’s new series on Peacock, Wilmore, plus the finale of RuPaul’s Drag Race: Vegas Revue, some further thoughts on The Great Pottery Throw Down, and the premiere of The Great British Baking Show. Then Noel talks Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous season one and we round out the week in TV with the surprise return of DuckTales. Afterward, we head to the spotlight section to dive in with Netflix’s new Sherlock Holmes spinoff, Enola Holmes, discussing the film and Netflix’s new trend of potential franchise building via movies that feel much more like pilots and TV movies than standalone features. Despite the ongoing pandemic, it’s somehow premiere week here at the podcast. There’s plenty of TV to discuss, but only one show both Noel and Kate have watched, our season spotlight, Julie and the Phantoms season one. But before we dive in with this bright, cheerful Netflix offering, we have a full week in TV to discuss.
